Hidden in Plain Sight parent presentation
How was your presenter?: Awesome!

The Hidden in Plain Sight interactive presentation was awesome. The speaker was very informative and interesting, and spoke to our parents about how to approach your teen regarding the issue of drugs and alcohol

The mock interactive presentation taught our parents what to look for in their sons/daughters bedroom and the dangers of drugs and alcohol. I really appreciated the LSIS staff coming to our school out of their normal work hours to educate our parents, I thank them and recommend them highly!

Hi Ms. Fill
It is our pleasure to serve your school. We agree, Hidden in Plain Sight is a powerful program that helps inform parents of substance abuse signs.

Valuable Community Resource
How was your presenter?: Excellent

I have had LSIS and a recovery speaker come into my health classes for many years and the impact on my students is phenomenal. I am so appreciative that LSIS is in the community educating children and young adults about the relevant health issues that impact our youth. Thank you for all that you do.

Hi Professor Myslivecek
We thank you for supporting LSIS throughout the years and for helping impact students lives beyond the classroom.
We love our time at the Boca Campus and always a pleasure to be in your classes..
See you again soon

Recovery Speaker
How was your presenter?: Excellent

This is the second year that I have a recovery speaker presentation for my 5th grade classes. The presentation is very powerful and recommend it for every student in 5th grade or above. It allowed them to ask some really important questions. It gave them a real life look at the consequences of substance abuse.

HI Ms. Berardesco
Thank you so much for having us back. We agree that real life peer to peer stories that focus on consequences and decision-making can be powerful learning lessons for students. We hope to be back again soon

How was your presenter?: Excellent

I was late in requesting a speaker, i.e. less than a week out, but Barbra was gracious and accommodating, and she and Tom came on the date planned and presented to the students on the dangers of vaping, a serious problem for many schools. The students were actively engaged, asked questions, and honestly shared about their experiences, concerns for family members, and personal challenges. I would not hesitate to invite LSIS back to Wellington High School, an invaluable resource for all schools.

Thank you Ms. Hand. The LSIS team works very hard to fulfill all our booking requests and provide A+ service to our schools. Thank you for inviting us back to your school. We are definitely seeing an increased demand across the county for our vaping presentation.

Recovery Speaker
How was your presenter?: AMAZING

We had an amazing presenter, Megan, come to speak to our 5th graders today. She was phenomenal. Our students did not say a word during the entire presentation and were so intrigued by what she had to say. We definitely want her to come back next year.

Thank you Ms. Martinez. It is our pleasure to serve your students and school with effective substance abuse prevention programming! We will be sure to pass on your feedback to Megan!

How was your presenter?: Amazing!

This is the third year I have had presenters come in to St Vincent Ferrer School to present on drug abuse prevention. The speakers have been absolutely amazing! This year Mr. Luke shared his personal life story and journey. His background and upbringing were a perfect fit for our students. The students really connected with him and were so appreciative of his honesty and the important information he shared regarding drug abuse and consequences. He was so patient with the students, and answered all of their questions. Teachers also commented on how they loved how he shared how he came to know Jesus in a very personal way. We will pray for his continued sobriety and the future talks that he does. Very impactful!

Hello Ms. Claggett
We love coming back to St.Vincents every year! Thank you for having us. Luke does deliver a powerful message and so great to hear that it had a positive impact on the students. Hope to see St.Vincents again later in the school year with additional programming!

How was your presenter?: Amazing

Our presenter was amazing! He was able to connect with both staff and students. The way he explained his story was right on point for our age group. The students were engaged and asked many questions. The staff also asked questions during and after the presentation.

HI Ms. Gil
So glad that the presentation benefitted staff and students. One of the bonuses of our LSIS presentations is that they grow in age- appropriateness with students.
We always enjoy coming to Coral Sunset Elementary. Thank you for having us

Hidden in Plain Sight!
How was your presenter?: Stellar!

I've always been an avid supporter of Living Skills in the Schools! Suzanne and her team are professional and courteous, bar none. They go above and beyond to ensure the right fit for your school and audience. I was excited to have the Hidden in Plain Sight presentation at our school. Our presenter, Chris exceeded my expectations. He was engaging and extremely knowledgeable. Chris provided parents with the tools and resources to be aware of possible substance use and ways to start the conversation with their child. I am so thankful for LSIS and the wonderful work they are doing each day!

Ms. Ajsuma, Thank you for being such a wonderful supporter of our program. So glad your parent group benefitted from Hidden in Plain Sight! It is an eye-opening presentation. It is our pleasure to respond to the prevention needs of our PBC Schools and to build wonderful relationships with our school partners.

Being a presenter
How was your presenter?: A Plus

I had the privilege of being a presenter at LSIS for 8 months while living in Florida. It was an extremely rewarding commitment to engage all ages about my past and to help educate schools about the reality of peer pressures and mental illnesses that surround our world. I always loved to speak on mentorship and its importance in my life, my goal is always to be an example in my actions and words so that my message was remembered.

It was great having you as a speaker Jordan. You delivered a powerful story and we thank you for contributing to the success of Living Skills in the Schools.

How was your presenter?: Professional, Punctual, displayed

Thank you again for offering such great speakers for your community awareness and prevention programs. Elliot and Tom were awesome presenters and my students really learned a lot from their engaging stories.
As an educator I am thrilled to have had an opportunity to work with LSIS and I look forward to partnering with you again soon.
Keep up the great community outreach and education!

Thank you Ms. Lower! Living Skills in the Schools is passionate about our mission to deliver effective substance abuse prevention programming to our PBC Schools... Thank you for having us and so glad that you enjoyed two different program resources. We look forward to coming back again soon!
