In today’s fast-paced world, the challenges our children face—especially when it comes to substance use—are more complex than ever. As parents, we strive to equip our children with the skills they need to navigate these challenges, but we often need guidance on starting those crucial conversations. That’s where Living Skills in the Schools @Work comes in.

What is Living Skills in the Schools @Work?

Living Skills in the Schools @Work is an innovative program designed to bring the proven strategies of our school-based prevention programs into the workplace. We empower parents with the tools, resources, and support they need to guide their children through the pressures of growing up in a world where substance use is a real risk.

Why Living Skills in the Schools at Work?

• Parent Empowerment: We provide parents with practical strategies to help their children make healthy, informed choices. From recognizing early signs of substance use to understanding the social pressures kids face, our program is tailored to meet the needs of parents at every stage.

• Convenience and Accessibility: By bringing these essential resources into the workplace, we make it easier for parents to access the support they need without disrupting their busy lives. (?) – employer sponsorship, peer support, shared understanding and burden?

• Comprehensive Support: Our program offers parent presentations to parents with older teen/young adults, along with take-home materials that help support parents to engage their children in meaningful discussions.

The LSIS Difference, One Family at a Time

At Living Skills in the Schools at Work, we believe that the workplace is more than just a place to earn a living—it’s a community where families can be supported and strengthened. By participating in our program, parents not only gain the knowledge and confidence they need to protect their children, but they also contribute to a healthier, more informed workplace community. Our goal is to take the skills that make a difference in the classroom and bring them into our homes.
